The Media Angel wins Vale Walking Campaign
The Vale of Glamorgan Council has selected South Wales’ independent marketing agency, The Media Angel to help them promote a series of walks across the winter.
The mixed media and PR campaign running throughout December will raise awareness to 10 Vale Trails that will explore a fascinating 60km stretch of the Wales Coast Path, as well as the picturesque, historic beauty of the inland Vale.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council and Creative Rural Communities have improved pathways as part of a regeneration initiative to help benefit the long-term social and economic wellbeing of the area. They have carefully chosen media planning and buying specialists, The Media Angel, to assist them with bringing the serenity and beauty of these more accessible routes to the attention of the people of Wales and beyond.
Alison Debono, Managing Director at The Media Angel said:
“We are overjoyed to be working with Creative Rural Communities and the Vale of Glamorgan Council. Winning this pitch meant a lot to me, being a Vale resident and knowing how beautiful the area is, as well as really wanting to help to get people experiencing these various walks.
“The festive season is a great time to bring families together, venture outdoors, and explore what the Vale has to offer.”
Principal Rural Regeneration Officer, Phil Chappell expressed his excitement about the forthcoming campaign:
“We are delighted to be able to publish these Vale Trails for everyone to explore. We are confident that people will find winter walking a wonderful experience”.
Mr Chappell added:
“Alison and her team at The Media Angel stood out to us among five other agencies due to their unique delivery of a fantastic campaign hook and a clear and detailed response to the campaign brief. We are thrilled to be working with such a talented team.”
10 walking leaflets will be available for free at any of the 50 tourist information points throughout the Vale of Glamorgan, or can be downloaded at: http://visitthevale.com. Walkers are encouraged to share their walks using #valetrails or #llwybraurfro.
